Our classroom is in the grounds of the Royal Norfolk and Suffolk Yacht club and forms part of the grade II listed building. The training room has been recently refurbished to offer the best learning environment.

We now offer the RYA Day skipper and RYA Yachtmaster theory courses online, these can be taken from the comfort of your own home at your own pace.

This popular short theory course is for anyone interested in sailing, motor boating, sea angling or diving, and works well in complementing our on-the-water training.
The RYA Day Skipper Shore based course will give you a comprehensive knowledge of seamanship, navigation and meteorology. The course is suitable for sailors and motor boaters.
This is an advanced course which follows on from the RYA Day Skipper Theory. This course will develop further knowledge and skills on navigation, pilotage, collision regulations and meteorology.
RYA Short Range VHF Radio Operators Course (SRC). This is the radio operator qualification which authorises the holder to operate a VHF radio fitted with Digital Selective Calling (DSC).
In a medical emergency a little first aid knowledge and immediate action can save lives, especially in remote locations. This 1 day course is designed to provide a working knowledge of first aid for people using small craft and to support skippers of yachts and motor vessels.
RYA Shorebased Courses are classroom-based training programs by the Royal Yachting Association, focusing on navigation, safety, and seamanship. They're suitable for beginners to experienced sailors aiming to enhance their skills.
