This Radar course is aimed at users of radar in small craft. As the price of on board equipment falls, the use of radar is becoming increasingly common.
The Electronic Navigation course is a one-day entry level course and will enable you to understand and operate electronic navigational equipment on board a vessel.
An introduction to navigation and safety awareness for new or inexperienced sailors and those wanting to refresh their skills.
A hands-on course that will unlock the mysteries of basic sail trim and enable you to gain more from your boat.
A hands-on course that will help improve your understanding of how a yacht handles under power and improve your boat handling in close quarter situations.

Our courses maintain a low instructor-student ratio for personalized attention. Depending on the option chosen, ratios range from 1:1 up to a maximum of 4:1. This ensures that each participant receives the guidance they need to excel.
When you enroll in one of our courses, you'll receive comprehensive benefits. These include expert instruction with clearly defined course goals, along with complimentary tea, coffee, and delicious biscuits to keep you refreshed throughout the day. Additionally, you'll receive an SPBT notebook for note-taking and free parking for your convenience.
Our Bespoke Courses cover a range of essential skills for sailors and boating enthusiasts. These include radar operation, electronic navigation, and navigation refreshers. Priced at £180 per person, each course lasts for one day, from 0900 to 1700. Whether you're new to sailing or seeking to refresh your knowledge, these courses provide an introduction to navigation, safety awareness, sail handling, and boat handling, among other topics. We run these courses on demand, ensuring flexibility to fit your schedule.
